On a Positive Note Chorus

Practice at Margaret Mary Church – 620 Division St, Neenah, WI 54956
October performance at Valley VNA – 1535 Lyon Drive, Neenah, WI 54956

Fox Valley Memory Project’s “On a Positive Note” chorus has offered people having a dementia and their care partners the joy of singing together since 2014. We’re proud of all our chorus members and happy that some have chosen to continue in the chorus even after their loved one has moved to memory care or has passed away.

Choruses like ours are being formed all over the world and researchers are paying attention. They are finding many positive physical and mental health benefits. We’re always happy to welcome new people to be part of the “On a Positive Note” chorus. Our reputation is growing throughout the Valley and we are getting more invitations to perform in different venues. When asked to perform, we plan about six weekly, hour-long rehearsals to prepare our music.

Our Director, Kathleen Albrecht, selects a wonderful variety of familiar songs for us to sing. We love putting on our colorful t-shirts and sharing the joy of choral singing with our audiences. Practices are held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Neenah and performances are scheduled across the Fox Valley. Please consider joining the On a Positive Note chorus, even if you don’t think you have a voice for it. No singing ability is required!
