Fox Valley Memory Project expands respite care with grant award

The Fox Valley Memory Project is one of just two organizations in Wisconsin to receive a six-figure grant from the Alzheimer’s Association. There were over 200 applicants across the country, but only 41 grants were awarded. The money is intended to help with respite care for caregivers of people suffering from dementia... FVMP Executive Director Carrie Esselman joins us in the video to explain more.

Moon Beach Camp UCCI hosts Memory camp for patients with dementia

Everything fades with age, and that includes memory. That’s why Moon Beach Camp is hosting a memory camp to combine nature and strengthening memory for older residents with dementia.
Memory camp is held at Moon Camp UCCI in Eagle River. Carrie Esselman, the camp director of memory camp, said the program is a week-long for those living with dementia and their caregivers.
