Through community outreach and education, Fox Valley Memory Project seeks to eliminate the fear and stigma associated with memory loss that creates barriers to fully participating in life. We emphasize engaging in the community and with others, and remaining focused on what each individual with memory loss can do, rather than what they cannot do.
In addition to our Purple Angel training for businesses and organizations, we offer everything from small seminars on specific topics to large community educational programs featuring well-known speakers. These are open to persons having dementia, care partners, people employed in various forms of dementia care, etc. We also seek to educate young people about living as well as possible with dementia and have offered programs in middle schools and high schools.
