All about acorns! Acorns, or oak nuts, are part of the diet for large and small wildlife. In a nutshell, they really are just oak trees. At today’s Memory Café, we’ll play some Acorn Games, enjoy some delicious Acorn Donut Holes, and create a fantastically fall Acorn Ornament for everyone to take home to add to their seasonal decor. It’s a bird, it’s a plane… it’s an osprey! These birds are so interesting, and we will be lucky enough to learn more about them from Adam Brandt, naturalist at MHNC and Pat Fisher, owner of “The Feather”. We always learn more about the world around us as we share some laughs, stories, and friendship. Fly on out to join us! 


New London Senior Center, 600 W Washington Street, New London – Monday, October 24 – 1:30 – 3:00p  

Halloween Reminiscing – Caretakers and those experiencing memory loss are invited to join us as we reminisce about Halloween costumes, we made or bought for our children, and the traditions we established along the way. Bring some old photos! We’ll make a caramel apple dessert together. We dare you to wear a costume!
